Happy Easter!

Here's a picture of what's left of Easter decorations. My mom brought over the table cloth and cute little bunny bowl with jelly beans in it. Matt's mom brought us the pretty pink tulips. Speaking of tulips... the ones that we planted are starting to come up in the flower beds. Once they flower I will post pictures. We have lots of leftover food... We had honey baked ham and lots of sides and dessert. That's what we are having for lunch and dinner tonight. :)

I have been tagged....

Jen Windle tagged me... sorry it took me a while to get around to filling it out. Enjoy...

10 years ago: I was a freshman at Coppell High School. I spent most of my time going to school and playing tennis. I was on the Varsity tennis team so I would practice with the team for 2 hours everyday then go to private lessons or drills at night. haha... I overslept on the morning of my first high school tennis tournament and missed the bus. My poor dad had to drive me all the way to Waxahachie just so I could play. Thanks dad!

Things on my To-Do list today:
Enjoy my spring break, sleep in, have breakfast, read, send emails, do laundry, work on matrix homework, take a bubble bath, have lunch, watch tv, more laundry, play with the cats, blog, welcome Matt home, make dinner, hang out with Deedra and Jeremy, watch Big Brother, read, cuddle with Matt in bed, sleep

What Would I do if I became a billionaire:
GIVE, pay off the house, buy a pink corvette, get a maid, and have lots of babies!

Three of my many bad habits:
Biting my nails, leaving the blinds open, picking at Matt

Five Jobs I have had: Soccer Ref (5 & under girls), Baskin Robbins (had to quit b/c I was eating too much ice cream and gaining weight), Four Seasons Tennis shop clerk and Membership Services Rep (it was fun, I got to see lots of famous peeps), Waco Reads tutor/mentor, Math Teacher and Tennis coach at Irving High, and Math Teacher @ Guyer High... I'm looking for a job this summer... any ideas?

5 Things People don't know about me: I really like kraft mac and cheese with the character shaped noodles like spider man and shrek... Purple is my rival color... i've been to all 50 states... i handle stress well (whenever I get a massage they always say I don't have very many knots)...i love looking at the stars because it reminds me of how amazing God is and that He is all powerful and in control of everything.

This little tag game involves me "tagging" 5 other people so:
Staci, Tiffany, Jen, Sam, and Andrea

Happy Birthday Dad!

We had a really fun Saturday yesterday! We went and worked out then went to home depot and bought a lawn mower. Here's a picture of Matt using it for the first time....(yes, that's our neighbors house and yes they still have their Christmas wreath on the front door.)
Haha... the grass is still not completely grown in. You can still see the lines between the different pieces of sod. We had the strangest thing happen to us this week. Someone stole a 3 foot square piece of grass from our front yard, but when we got home from work they had put it back. Strange huh?

OK, sorry, I got side tracked... we had a really fun Saturday. My dad, sister and brother came up to Denton and we celebrated my dad's birthday. We got to play together the whole afternoon and evening. We played ping pong, hillbilly golf, batting cages, putt putt, and cards (my favorite). Then went out to dinner at Chili's. I made chocolate cupcakes and they were so good that we had some both before and after dinner. So thanks for coming up to Denton guys... We really enjoyed the day! This is for you dad... Hope you have a wonderful 50th Birthday on Tuesday!

More Beautiful Snow!

Isn't is amazing! We got 6 more inches of snow today in Denton! Here are pictures of our house and our street when I got home from work today at 3:00. They are covered in snow. Yes, I got home at 3:00... they gave the kids a half day today due to the weather. Hopefully we will get a snow day tomorrow too. I'm starting to get a cold and I want to stay home and rest so it doesn't get worse.
There is my car parked in front of our house... I tried to pull into the garage, but couldn't make it up the driveway because of the snow.
I was determined to park it in the garage, so I got our shovel and stared clearing the driveway. No, we don't have a snow shovel... this was the same shovel that Matt used last weekend to dig a hole for his new tree. It worked though... and only took me about a half hour. Didn't I do good? It was my first time. :)
Here's the back yard before Matt and I played in all the snow....
We had a lot of fun playing in the snow! We made life size snowman replicas of ourselves... Stephanie Jr. and Matt Jr. It was fun decorating them... We used pretzels for noses, and banana's for mouths.
It was really cold outside... I am happy to be inside an warm. I think we should get snow like this once every year since it's so beautiful... Not more that once though... shoveling the snow really is hard work!

We love Home Depot!

Home Depot is our new favorite store! Last weekend we did two little home improvement projects.

First, Matt went to Home Depot for a few things that were on a list like blinds and paint brushes. Well, he came home with none of the things on the list... only a tree! Turns out that they were on such a good sale that he just could not pass it up! Haha... I don't think that he even made it inside the store! It took Neil and Matt about an hour to plant the tree but now it looks great! I can't wait to watch it grow!
Matt's so excited about the new red oak tree! Look how tall it is!
Well, we went back to Home Depot and got the other things on the list... We finally got blinds for our back window! When we met our backyard neighbors they said that they could see right in our house through the back door window. I was embarrassed so temporarily I had taped pillow shams over the window so they couldn't watch us anymore... The blinds look so much nicer! I'm so glad they are up!

Here's the view from the outside... No one's gonna be able to see through those blinds! The blinds are actually inside the glass on the door! It's so neat!

We have lots more home improvement projects planned... I'll keep you updated!

Snow!

Snow, Snow Beautiful Snow... in March in Texas! Isn't it wonderful! Here is the front of the Wear house tonight when I got home from my class at 8:45. It has been snowing since 5:30 tonight when I was just leaving for class. I was very tempted not to go to class and just stay home and play in the snow, but I had an assignment due so I had to go and turn it in.
Here is the back yard! Aren't the snow flakes beautiful! It was really coming down hard!
Cauchey wanted to see what was going on and go play in the snow!He ran back in quickly! It was just too cold for him!
Jeremy and Melissa came over and we all had a snow ball fight! The snow was perfect for packing snow balls!

It's 10:00pm now and it's still snowing. Maybe we won't have school tomorrow! I just know that is what all of my students are hoping for! :)
