More pics!

Here are some pictures of the upstairs.... the gameroom is still very empty so no picture of that.... but this is the "Pink room" which will some day be the nursery.
This is the guest suite! This is where you will stay when you come and visit! :) Which will hopefully be soon! This is the furniture and bedspread that we used to have in our bedroom at the apartment. The picture is an original by Tiffany Purdue titled "Wedding Rings".
This is Matt's favorite room... the study! He spends most of his time here. We painted this room and I still have a few touch-ups to do, but it really turned out good.
We love that we finally have enough space for all of our books... Well... most of them are Matt's books, b/c he is a much bigger reader than me. We also love that we can both be in here working at the same time.... one on the desktop computer and than the other person working at the executive desk on the laptop.
Matt's whiteboard! Huge isn't it! He actually uses it though! :)
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday... I will write again soon... promise! :)

Happy New Years Eve!

Merry Christmas also! Ok, well.... I've decided to continue blogging. Sorry I took a break for a while... I could give lots of excuses, but they don't matter because I'm back now! I've included a few pictures of our house for those who haven't gotten to see it yet. This is the front sitting room... eventually will be the dinning room but we don't have a dinning room table so for now it is the piano room. Here it is again from the other direction.
This is our fireplace in the family room. The girls in the picture are Kallie, me, Deedra, and Ashley. This was at the end of the Christmas party that we had at our house for our Bible Study group. We had a potluck dinner and I made a turkey and a ham for 26 people! It actually wasn't that hard to cook a turkey! Maybe we will have to do thanksgiving at our house next year!
Here is part of our kitchen...You can see the Christmas cards hanging on the wall. There are more next to it that you can't see... if I didn't get one from you this year... I do expect one next year! I just love getting mail! :) One of our Christmas presents was that wine rack on the counter from my dad and Lori. I love it... it matches all the other rod iron stuff in the kitchen... Thanks guys! We were so blessed this year! Thank you to everyone who got us Christmas gifts!
Here is our bedroom. Matt won an auction for me on ebay for the cutains and new bedding for real cheap! I just love the bedroom... it is my favorite room in the house.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I love getting to eat all of the amazing food, but I also love the purpose of the holiday! We have been blessed so abundantly by God! It's great to have day specifically designed as time to say thanks to the Lord for his provisions.

Christmas is coming soon! I started putting up Christmas decorations this week... below is a picture of the wreath that I put on our front door.
I'm so excited for this weekend because we are going to put up our Christmas tree in the family room! Matt and I always get a real tree the Saturday after thanksgiving. We're also going to put up lights on the house this weekend! I love the holidays! :)

We are all moved in!

On Saturday, November 10th, we moved into our new home! We started at 8am and everything was all moved in by 11! We had lots of wonderful helpers!

A big big thanks to all of our family and friends that helped us move! We are so thankful for all of you!

We were so busy and I forgot to take lots of pictures, but here is one of Neil at one of our storage units.
We got new bedroom furniture at the store called "The Dump." We also got a new king size mattress. It is sooo comfortable! We have been sleeping so well at our new home.
Here is the dresser and mirror... the chest is on the other wall. Baby loves to lay on the bed with us. He has been sleeping with us every night!
Here is the kitchen! We use it everyday! We have only gone out to eat once since we've moved in!
The cats love to run up and down the stairs! Here is baby hamming it up for the camera!
Sorry I didn't post for a while... we just got the Internet, cable and phone installed at our house yesterday. Now that the house is built I am going to continue to post about what's going on at the Wear House! :)

It's almost done!

2 More Days!!! I can't believe we are so close to closing on the house. We are moving in on Saturday morning, so anyone who wants to help... let me know! We have a couple guys who have volunteered already.

Here is the front of our house with all of the landscaping! I'm going to move the juniper that is in front of the house number to the other side of the garage because I'm worried about it growing bigger and covering the house number. It will look more symmetric there too. :)
Here are two pictures of the back yard. The put one tree in the front yard and one in the back! We were really excited about that because we thought that they were going to put both trees in the front yard. They are live oak trees which is great because they stay green all year long and don't loose their leaves so we don't have to rake them!
The appliances are in! They take off the oven door so that no one will steal them... smart huh?

Happy Halloween!

Happy halloween! Here is little Luke, the pea in the pod! He's 1.5 weeks old here...

Here's our house with grass! There are bushes and trees now too. I will take a picture tomorrow and post it. We are doing our 1st walk through with the builder tomorrow at 2:00. we will just point out the little things that need to be touched up. Then we will be all ready to sign the papers on Friday and move in this weekend! :)

The fireplace is all done now too. They painted the mantel and the inside and put the glass doors on it to keep the kitties out!

Carpet makes it homier! (Is that a word?)

Here are some pictures of the carpet! There's not much left to do, but minor touch ups and cleaning. It feels so much homier and comfortable with the carpet in! We are probably going to do our walk through some time this week! It's getting so close!

Here is the backyard! You can see the little patio that they poured a couple of days ago! They also put up a light! Any day now they should be putting in the sprinklers and grass!

My dad built us the coolest game called Michigan "Hillbilly" Golf! He said that it took a whole day to make, but I am so thankful that he did because we are going to get so much use out of it! I can't wait to have everyone come over and play! I think y'all are going to want to make your own set as soon as you play see how much fun it is!

Great Places for our feet...

...Sidewalk and Carpet! They put in the carpet today. We tried to go in and take a picture, but the house was locked and the office where we can get a key was closed. I just saw it by looking through a window. Hopefully we'll get to go in and see it on Sunday! They also laid the cement for the sidewalk and driveway... I tried to write a heart with our initials in the sidewalk, but I got there too late and the cement was too hard. That's ok though... I'll put my own signature on the house when we move in... IN TWO WEEKS!!! Can you tell I'm excited! :)

Action Shots

Here is our house today! They are getting ready to lay the driveway and side walk!
Here is an action shot of the workers pouring the cement for the backyard patio! There is a cement truck in our backyard...
They had just finished our neighbor's cement and then drove the truck over to our house.
We now have doorknobs, towel bars and toilet paper holders!
They put the medicine cabinet in the master bathroom. They had forgotten, but we reminded them and they fixed it right away.
They also turned on the electricity in the house so all the lights work now!

Welcome Luke Michael!

On Oct. 20th at 1:30 Luke Micheal was born! Everyone is happy and healthy! Andrea and Lee were just glowing today when we went to visit them at the hospital! They get to go home from the hospital on Monday... I'm soooo excited for them! They are going to be such great parents!
Doesn't Luke have the most beautiful face! Praise God for this sweet baby boy! :)
Here is our house today! That's me and my mom standing outside... They are just about done with all of bricks and stones on the outside! They just need to put in that one last keystone above the front windows.
Here's the house number and the "mismatched stone!" Haha... long story!
Here's the back yard! They put the neighbor's behind us fence up... we will share that back part of the fence with them.

Nov. 9th!!!

We are planning on closing on November 9th! That's only 3 weeks away! We are so excited! It's going to be a big day... not only are we closing on our house, but so are Jeremy and Deedra on their house and the church is closing on the former Albertson's across the street.

Andrea went into labor today! I'm so excited to find out if it's a boy or girl! If it's a girl I'm going to stop by the store on the way to the hospital and get that baby a pink outfit! They have said everything has been going good so far! God is so great!

Go Tiger Tennis!

My Irving Tennis kids won in the first round of playoffs last night against MacArthur (our rival team)! I'm soooo proud of them! They called me last night on the bus on the way home and passed the phone around and I got to talk to a lot of them! It was so good to hear from them! I really miss them!

Here are updated picture of our house! They put the bricks in for the fireplace, the sink in the 1/2 bathroom downstairs and the light fixtures! The lights are a lot nicer than the ones I thought we were getting so I'm real excited!

Toilets!

The bathrooms are really starting to come together. Here is a picture of the master bathroom. They put in the counter tops/sinks, toilets, shower heads, and linoleum flooring. They are protecting the flooring with that pretty brown paper that you can see on the floor...
This is the upstairs guest bathroom. It looks like an actual bathroom now!
I thought you might like to see what's going on around the house... That is our house on the right and our neighbor's house on the left. They are a little bit further along on their house... you can see that they are about to lay the cement for their driveway and sidewalk. Our neighbor on the other side is at the same step.
Here is a picture of the floors that are in the kitchen and entry way. This spot in the pantry was the only spot that wasn't covered by brown paper.

We are hoping that they finish the outside this week... they are being a little big slow right now, but we will keep being patient. We want them to do it right and not hurry through it! We're just really excited about our new house! :)

Kitchen Counter Tops

They installed the kitchen counter tops and sink today. The counters are made out of a solid surface called Corian.
This is called an under mount sink and I'm very excited about it! I will be able to just brush crumbs right into the sink for easy clean up! :)
