Real Walls!

These are current pictures that were taken today! This is the family room with fireplace. You can see the kitchen bar on the left and through the hall way is the dinning room with front windows.

This picture is taken from the kitchen. You can see the back door and back wall of the family room. The house behind ours is almost done being bricked. We walked through it this weekend and it is huge! It is over 4,000 sq. ft. and has 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. We are going to be good friends with these neighbors! :)
This is the front of our house... you can see the stones in the front and the cement for the bricks is in the garage.
They started bricking our next door neighbor's house today, so I suspect that ours will begin soon... hopefully tomorrow.

Last Week's Pictures

This is what our house looked like last week. This is our shower and tub in the upstairs bathroom.
Here is Matt in the upstairs bedroom that probably be a nursery one day.
Looking through the walls of the other two bedrooms upstairs.
There were piles of drywall in all of the rooms.

We're moved out~

We are all moved out of our apartment! It was a long day of packing and moving our stuff into storage yesterday, but we got it all done. Matt and the boys really worked hard! We are just resting today at our new temporary home. My mom is graciously allowing us and the kitties to stay at her house until our home is done.

We also moved Brad and Jen into their new house yesterday! Their house looks great! They bought 2 cute white rocking chairs for the front porch. I'm excited to walk to their house and hang out on the front porch with them.

We stopped by our house after church today... and they have the drywall all done! Yea! It's really coming along. The batteries on my camera have been dead, but I'm getting more tomorrow, so I'll go take some pictures and post them tomorrow (Monday)!

Packing!

Sorry it's been a while since I have posted. We are busy busy with packing up all our stuff! Once we get organized and settled I'll post more pictures. Not much has happened at our house except they put the insulation in the walls.

The bricks are here!

They delivered the bricks today! You can see them sitting in front of the house! Yea! I can't wait for them to start putting them on! I just love the color... it is going to look so good with the white stone!
Doesn't it look like a lot of bricks? I wonder if they are going to need that many...
Look at the two men up on the roof working on the chimney! That is one scary job! Wasn't the sky pretty today? I love that color blue!
Remember our soon to be neighbors Brad and Jen from an earlier blog post? Well, their house is just about done! The builders did the landscaping today on their house... and Brad and Jen are moving in on Sept 22nd! That's so exciting! :) Congrats y'all!

Electrical and Plumbing is in!

This is what our house looks like today. They put in a temporary front door.

They delivered the bathtubs and shower stuff today! This is the garden tub for the master bathroom. At the bottom of the picture is the box with the upstairs bathtub in it. All of this stuff is in the garage.
Here is the fireplace in the family room!
They have also worked on the electrical and airduct stuff that goes in the walls and ceiling. This was taken in the family room.
This is picture is taken from the kitchen and looking into the master bathroom. The red and blue pipes are the hot and cold water that will go to the his and her bathroom sinks. The blue tube on the left is leading to where the refrigerator will go in the kitchen on this side of the wall.

Rain Rain Go Away!

It rained all day Sunday and Monday! The drive to work this morning was terrible! I was driving 15mph on the highway and could not see anything because of all the rain. It's supposed to rain some more tomorrow morning and then let up... Hopefully the "creative" brickers will be able to get to our house soon! I call them creative b/c that is what they lady who sold us the house told us when we asked about the differences in the brick patterns of other houses.

Here is a picture of Cauchy that Matt edited... It's classic Cauchy! :)

November 6th!

We talked to the builder today to get an estimated date of when the house would be done... They said if all goes to plan, our house will be done on November 6th!!! We are so excited! That's only 8 1/2 weeks away! I just know that it will be here before we know it.

We rented a storage unit and moved our first few boxes into it today. The next two weeks we will be busy busy with packing up all of our stuff. The storage place is going to let us use their moving truck for free on March 22nd all day, so that will be the day that we move out all of our furniture. Anyone that would like to help us move that day is welcome to come and help! We would really appreciate it! :)

Also, check out Google maps... they have added our house to their data base! Now you can type in our address and get directions to our house! I'll post new pictures of our house tomorrow. It was kinda rainy today so we decided not to drive up and see it.

We have a roof over our heads!

Look at those workers on top of the roof! I would not want that job, but I am so thankful to those men who do it! We will now have a roof over our heads in our new house! They also put windows in. I think that they are temporary windows though... just in case a worker breaks one in the building process. The next step is brick and stone on the outside. Hopefully the rain will hold off this weekend so they can work on it!

Pink

This is a compromise.....Matt wants me to get rid of the pink theme, but this is my blog and I like pink! At least now there is less pink for the boys! :)

Walls are great!

Here is our house today! The roof and walls are all closed in! You can see the pipes for the plumbing in the garage. It says X04 on the house because we are on street X and lot number 4. 6600 will be our address. The siding also is up on the side of the house. Along with the first two windows! The shingles should be up on the roof in a day or two.

Forgot My Camera

This picture was taken Sunday. Mom is standing in front of the pantry. You can see that someone left their drink on the bar in the kitchen. :)
I drove by the house today and they had put up plywood and closed in all of the exterior walls. I forgot to bring the camera, so you don't get any pictures today. Hopefully tomorrow they will have put the wood on for the roof!

More Pictures!

Here is Matt upstairs! Here are the stairs...
This is me looking out the family room window! On the left you can see the guest bathroom...
We actually were able to go upstairs in our house! Here is Matt going down...
This is where the bath tub will go in the master bath and behind it will be the shower...

It's starting to look like a house!

This is a picture of the house on Thursday. They were just starting the framing of the walls on the first floor. This is an action shot of two men actually putting up the outside wall of the dinning room. This is our house on Friday after school. The men were still working so I didn't want to take too many pictures and disturb their focus. Can you see the guy on the top right? He stopped and smiled for the camera.
We went back today, Sunday, and took lots more pictures. I think that they are all done with the framing. Isn't it exciting that it's starting to actually look like a house! :)
This is us at the front door. Come on in!
This is the back of the house. On the bottom floor on the right is the family room and on the left is the kitchen. You can see the outline for the back door and some of the windows also.
