They started putting the bricks on our house on Wednesday. These pictures were taken on Wednesday afternoon. They have about double this done now!
This picture is taken from the kitchen. You can see the back door and back wall of the family room. The house behind ours is almost done being bricked. We walked through it this weekend and it is huge! It is over 4,000 sq. ft. and has 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. We are going to be good friends with these neighbors! :)
This is the front of our house... you can see the stones in the front and the cement for the bricks is in the garage.
They started bricking our next door neighbor's house today, so I suspect that ours will begin soon... hopefully tomorrow.
Doesn't it look like a lot of bricks? I wonder if they are going to need that many...
Look at the two men up on the roof working on the chimney! That is one scary job! Wasn't the sky pretty today? I love that color blue!
Remember our soon to be neighbors Brad and Jen from an earlier blog post? Well, their house is just about done! The builders did the landscaping today on their house... and Brad and Jen are moving in on Sept 22nd! That's so exciting! :) Congrats y'all!
They delivered the bathtubs and shower stuff today! This is the garden tub for the master bathroom. At the bottom of the picture is the box with the upstairs bathtub in it. All of this stuff is in the garage.
Here is the fireplace in the family room!
They have also worked on the electrical and airduct stuff that goes in the walls and ceiling. This was taken in the family room.
This is picture is taken from the kitchen and looking into the master bathroom. The red and blue pipes are the hot and cold water that will go to the his and her bathroom sinks. The blue tube on the left is leading to where the refrigerator will go in the kitchen on this side of the wall.
Look at those workers on top of the roof! I would not want that job, but I am so thankful to those men who do it! We will now have a roof over our heads in our new house! They also put windows in. I think that they are temporary windows though... just in case a worker breaks one in the building process. The next step is brick and stone on the outside. Hopefully the rain will hold off this weekend so they can work on it!
The siding also is up on the side of the house. Along with the first two windows! The shingles should be up on the roof in a day or two.

Here are the stairs...
This is me looking out the family room window! On the left you can see the guest bathroom...
We actually were able to go upstairs in our house! Here is Matt going down...
This is where the bath tub will go in the master bath and behind it will be the shower...
This is our house on Friday after school. The men were still working so I didn't want to take too many pictures and disturb their focus. Can you see the guy on the top right? He stopped and smiled for the camera.
We went back today, Sunday, and took lots more pictures. I think that they are all done with the framing. Isn't it exciting that it's starting to actually look like a house! :)
This is us at the front door. Come on in!
This is the back of the house. On the bottom floor on the right is the family room and on the left is the kitchen. You can see the outline for the back door and some of the windows also.
